ST PETERSBURG, FL, May 3, 2023 – Snowpity, Inc., is very excited to announce the official charity for Mare Fair 2023: Fallen Oak Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation!
Fallen Oak is a Florida-based 501(c)(3) organization that’s been saving our equine friends for a little over ten years. Most of the animals they take in are no longer wanted by their previous owners and some have been poorly treated and require special care. Fallen Oak is able to rehab many of them and find them new homes. But for the older horses or those with more serious issues Fallen Oak offers a sanctuary where they can live out the rest of their natural life in a loving environment where they receive all the care they need.
We chose Fallen Oak because they’re a very small operation compared to some of the larger horse charities and have a real need for more support. Even with their shoestring budget, they were still able to rehab, rehome, and vet more than 200 horses in the last five years!
Earlier this year, we were fortunate enough to get an opportunity to visit Fallen Oak and meet some of their rescued horses firsthoof. It was a joy to see them getting the care they needed.
The President of Fallen Oak, Kim, is very excited to join us at Mare Fair 2023 and will be staffing a booth in the vendor hall where you can come by and see before and after pictures of a bunch of horsies they’ve rescued. Remember that 100% of the money collected from the Spaghetti and Tendie dinner on Friday night will be going to Fallen Oak, as will 100% of the money collected from the charity auction (after transaction fees).
So, make your plans to attend Mare Fair 2023 now. Tickets to the Spaghetti and Tendie dinner are going fast, there are only six left as of this writing!
